I have found writing about my experiences with depression and the law to be a meaningful experience. First, I enjoyed the experience of creating something and organizing my thoughts in a way that made sense to me. It provided a narrative of my experiences with depression and the practice of law. This narrative helped give me insight into where I have been, where I am now and where I would like to go. Second, other lawyers who have struggled with depression and read my articles have told me it made them feel that they weren't so odd or alone after all and that there were many other attorneys out there also struggling with depression.
I would like to warmly welcome all lawyers, judges and law students to submit articles which they, or those who care about them, have authored. Sincerity is more important than anything else here. When submitting your articles, you may optionally attach your name and additional contact information to your piece. If you wish to submit your article anonymously, that is perfectly fine. I respect that choice. If possible, please submit your piece in Word Perfect format. Unfortunately, it may take some time for me to respond. My own policy is to try to respond to all submission via e-mail within three (3) days of receipt of the article. To submit your articles, click here. It is also important to know that this site reserves the right to edit any submission. We will try to work with you on this one.
If you would like to submit new links, articles from other authors, research, comments, criticism, suggestions for the site or recommend books, please go to the Contact page of this site.
